"We wanted to be near but not in Lunenburg and also within 15-20 mins of some great beaches (Hirtle's Beach is our favorite) it was a perfect spot and an amazing modern, clean and sun filled waterfront escape with incredible sunsets. Kitchen, living room and den were great for hanging out along with the deck and a range of outdoor furniture/spots to choose from. It was a perfect couples spot for a vacation away. And you will see the neighbouring properties are quite close but you don't even notice as the deck and bay of water outside is the stage. We saw more ducks vs people!"

It was spotlessly clean. The views of the water are incredible. The two decks are outfitted with great seating and tables for outdoor eating. Plus the hot tub is at the very edge of the deck overlooking the water and you such amazing sunsets from here. It's a five minute drive from beautiful Lunenburg Nova Scotia. We had a fantastic vacation here and would highly recommend."

We loved spending time on the spacious seaside deck, rooftop patio, and in the hot tub, all with incredible views. Bringing our paddle boards to explore the water was the highlight of the trip. Very close to downtown Lunenburg as well to explore the shops and dine at great restaurants! We enjoyed it so much that we have already booked our stay for next year!"

It's less private than I expected (you can see several of the neighbouring decks.) but still a great place to stay. I prefer a firmer mattress, but this is just my preference. The attention to detail was magnificent robes, toiletries, condiments, washing facilities all excellent. Best AirBnB we have been at. As we say amazing stay and very few personal thing I would change; curtains for the doors just so it's fully private, blinds on the windows next to the bed as I don't want waken by sun light and finally a catch/lock on the toilet door instead of Velcro as it didn't really work. Apart from that wouldn't change a thing and thanks for the great experience."

Despite having to enter the unit for a quick unexpected repair, the hosts were very responsive and respectful of our time and schedule and ensured it didn't interfere with our relaxing time away. They also ensured we were compensated for this very minor inconvenience which was truly appreciated. We would definitely love to visit Lil Hook again in the future...perhaps in the summer next time so we can enjoy both the lower and upper decks and BBQ! If we could make two very small recommendations, they would be this: 1) A full length mirror somewhere in the unit 2) Blinds for privacy over the windows in both doors in the main space. "We loved the accommodations. Full kitchen with condiments and spices. They even provided dog bowls. Lovely views from the rooftop deck. Enjoyed the fire pit, but did forego the hot tub. Although the other units were very close, so not much privacy, it was a lovely place for a romantic getaway. Too bad it's up for sale or we'd consider coming again."

"The space is spacious, super clean, with a very well stocked kitchen. They provided extra towels, which is great. The hosts are quick to respond, and a pleasure to deal with. It's less private than I expected (you can see several of the neighbouring decks.) but still a great place to stay. I prefer a firmer mattress, but this is just my preference. We are looking forward to our next visit!"

A large bright space, open to a large deck with plenty of space to lounge - complete with seating; a bbq and a hot tub. "My fiance and I can not stop talking about this place. It was absolutely amazing. Right at home. We are use to lots going on around us (especially with two kids), so this was exactly what we needed. A night away and so peaceful. It was also my fiance's birthday, and at my request I asked if they were able to decorate the place and get a cake. They did! The attention to detail was magnificent robes, toiletries, condiments, washing facilities all excellent. Best AirBnB we have been at. As we say amazing stay and very few personal thing I would change; curtains for the doors just so it's fully private, blinds on the windows next to the bed as I don't want waken by sun light and finally a catch/lock on the toilet door instead of Velcro as it didn't really work. Apart from that wouldn't change a thing and thanks for the great experience."

"Jay's space was spotless, spacious and relaxing. The kitchen is a dream to cook in and the hot tub was a nice bonus as well! The bed is comfy and the unit is well stocked with linens and we appreciated the robes! Despite having to enter the unit for a quick unexpected repair, the hosts were very responsive and respectful of our time and schedule and ensured it didn't interfere with our relaxing time away. They also ensured we were compensated for this very minor inconvenience which was truly appreciated. We would definitely love to visit Lil Hook again in the future...perhaps in the summer next time so we can enjoy both the lower and upper decks and BBQ! If we could make two very small recommendations, they would be this: 1) A full length mirror somewhere in the unit 2) Blinds for privacy over the windows in both doors in the main space.
